My Thoughts on Writing a Sequel to "Ordinary People"

I am often asked whether I will write more about the characters of "Ordinary People" -- and have even had good-natured debates with people (like Alvin Sargent, screenwriter of the Academy-Award winning movie version by Robert Redford) about the future lives of some of them.
